The February 27 episode of WWE SmackDown airs live from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, returning to its regular USA Network slot after two weeks on Syfy due to the Winter Olympics. Fans can catch the high-stakes action starting at 8 ET/7 CT.
SmackDown promotes the Elimination Chamber event scheduled for the following Saturday – the victor of that match receives a WrestleMania championship contest against titleholder Drew McIntyre. On this episode, six leading contenders – Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, Jey Uso, LA Knight besides Trick Williams – stand together in the ring for a confrontational segment.
The women’s division features RHIYO, the team of Rhea Ripley or IYO SKY, as they protect the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against challengers Nia Jax and Lash Legend. The challengers pursue payback after the disputed ending of their prior encounter. In a separate bout, Uncle Howdy meets Solo Sikoa, leader of The MFTs, in a singles match. Sikoa possesses the lantern that Howdy is determined to reclaim while he works to destroy the faction.
