The 39th annual WWE Royal Rumble will take place on Saturday, 31 January 2026, in the King Abdullah Financial District of Riyadh. This marks the first time the event occurs outside North America. WWE built a temporary stadium for the show. Several well known wrestlers reached Saudi Arabia early and posted photos, gave interviews plus took “Lion King–style” selfies in the desert.
The Royal Rumble ranks just below WrestleMania in importance and opens the “Road to WrestleMania” period when plots but also feuds grow louder. Calls for the two 30-person battles have started and observers guess which wrestlers will appear. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce said the entry list is “full” but has not named every competitor. Around fifteen entrants are public – followers await hidden names as well as surprise comebacks. Likely competitors include Dominik Mysterio, LA Knight, Tiffany Stratton, Trish Stratus and possibly Chris Jericho, giving the overseas Rumble strong appeal.

WWE Royal Rumble 2026 kicks off WrestleMania season with a unique afternoon slot for U.S. fans, thanks to the time difference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the event takes place at the KAFD arena.
The main card starts at 2:00 p.m. ET (11:00 a.m. PT) on Saturday, January 31, 2026, following a pre-show at 12:00 p.m. ET (9:00 a.m. PT).
Fans in the U.S. can stream it on ESPN, while international viewers tune in via Netflix.
