During Japan’s Golden Week, NJPW brings major wrestling action to Saga Arena for the first time at Hizen no Kuni, spotlighting junior heavyweights and featuring three title matches. In the main event, El Desperado defends his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against Templario. After surviving a brutal hardcore match at Junior Genesis, Desperado faces a new threat as Templario, representing CMLL and the United Empire, aims to capture the title. With Francesco Akira’s earlier challenge showing United Empire’s growing ambition, Desperado’s resilience will be tested before Best of the Super Jr.
In tag team action, Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita, known as the Ichiban Sweet Boys, defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships against Master Wato and YOH. YOH, after a failed attempt with Rocky Romero, now teams with Wato, building on a bond strengthened during their mutual recovery from injuries in 2024. Though initially hesitant, YOH found early success with Wato during the Road to Dontaku. Now, the duo looks to dethrone Eagles and Fujita and claim tag team gold.
