The second half of Season 10 began at Meta APEX, where four athletes earned UFC contracts after impressive performances before Dana White, Sean Shelby, and Mick Maynard. All three of the final fights ended in the first round, with Igor Cavalcanti’s 98-second victory over Oscar Ravello being the longest of the quick finishes. Akbar Abdullaev and Mayton Perea also secured rapid wins.
This week, five more pairs of fighters will compete for a place on the UFC roster. They hope to join the 28 athletes who have already earned contracts during the season. The featured bout is a middleweight contest between Norbert Novenyi Jr. and returning Season 9 competitor Theo Haig.
Novenyi Jr., aged 26, enters the fight as a promising prospect. He built momentum with six consecutive Bellator victories and seven wins overall before suffering a majority-decision defeat. He has since recovered with three straight first-round finishes and is now seeking a UFC opportunity in the middleweight division.
Haig, 30, is attempting to make the most of his second chance after losing to Cezary Oleksiejczuk last season. He returned to competition in February and won by second-round stoppage at LFA 227. With every professional victory coming by stoppage, Haig will be motivated to deliver a stronger performance and prove he belongs in the UFC.
