WWE is hosting its 38th annual SummerSlam, marking the first time the event spans two nights. Taking place on August 2 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, it is the sixth SummerSlam held in an NFL stadium. The Saturday card features three championship matches and two high-profile tag team bouts.
The main event pits CM Punk against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title. Punk, who returned to WWE in 2024 after a decade-long absence, hasn’t held a title since his 2014 departure. His last WWE title match was in 2012 against The Rock. Gunther, a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, lost the title at WrestleMania 41 but reclaimed it in June. Punk, a decorated veteran with multiple championships across WWE and AEW, is poised for another title run.

SummerSlam will be available for streaming on Peacock, but viewers will need either a premium or premium-plus subscription to access the event. For international audiences, the show will stream on Netflix in most markets.
