The Road to the New Beginning kicks off on January 19 in Chiba, led by Yuji Nagata in his 15th promotional event in his home prefecture. This event sets the stage for the upcoming New Beginning in Osaka and builds on momentum from Wrestle Kingdom 19, Wrestle Dynasty, and New Year Dash.
The main event features Nagata, a symbol of justice in Chiba, teaming with NEVER 6-Man Openweight Champions Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano, and Hiroshi Tanahashi. They face Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi, SHO, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Notably absent is EVIL, who, after a loss to Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom and wrestling in San Jose, hinted at leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling.
